You may be shocked to find that your moisturizing shampoo really isn’t so moisturizing. What an easy home remedy! Additionally, look for products which contain glycerin. This substance is naturally moisturizing and can help avoid itchiness on skin upon contact.

Squeeze Those Lemons

Many people associate citrus juice with unbearable stinging. However, this is when it is applied to punctured or wounded skin. Besides the ability to sting, lemons actually have great properties which can relieve itching. For a home remedy, simply squeeze a fresh lemon into a cup. Massage gently into your itchy scalp, and the sit for about 5-10 minutes. Wash out with non-drying shampoo.

Mixtures

Many itchy scalp home remedies can be created my mixing certain substances. One involves adding one part witch hazel to two parts distilled water. Once the ingredients have been mixed, gently massage the concoction onto your scalp and rinse with water. Another home remedy includes mixing equal parts of white or apple cider vinegar together, and applying to scalp with cotton balls.
