Thanks
to genetics, a lot of men and women today may experience the progress of
balding, that point in life when you realize that your hair has begun to
recede. It may start slowly at first, but it can proceed faster and faster,
until noticeable patches of hair are now missing. There are some home remedies
that show promise in slowing or retarding its progress, and can be especially
useful when the over-the-counter applications fail to deliver as promised.
Spot
Treatments
There are usually two types of home remedies for
balding that you will find being used: spot treatments and at-home treatments.
The spot treatments can be done at any time, and left in until your next
shampoo. The at-home treatments are a bit more intense, and should not be done
if you plan on leaving the house that day or night. The first involves adding
tea tree oil to your regular shampoo. It can be done easily every morning, and
any excess will be rinsed away. Next, mix together the juice of your favorite
citrus fruit, and a handful of pulverized mint leaves, and create a spray that
can be applied as needed to refresh and promote hair growth anywhere on your
head. Just apply it fresh out of the shower, while your hair is still damp, for
best results.
At
Home Treatments
The first of many home remedies that should be used
as often as possible to prevent balding is massage. This can be done with or
without oils or other substances to promote hair growth. By massaging the
scalp, you increase the blood flow to that area, and stimulate the hair
follicles into action. This can be especially helpful when using the home
remedies tea tree oil, or aloe vera extracts. Massage them directly into the
scalp, and leave on overnight for the best results. Lastly, a paste made from
fresh ginger, and applied directly to bare spots will also encourage hair
growth, if left on overnight. Chop and grind the ginger until it forms a paste,
adding a little oil at a time until thick.
