As we age, we all suffer from some
forms of arthritis. Here we will show you a few things you can do at home to
find some relief.
If you are
suffering from arthritis you know
how painful it can be. Not only is the pain awful it can also cause you the
inability to do things in your daily life you want to do. There are home
remedies available, many that use things you likely already have in your home.
#1- Potato Juice
Using juice
from a raw potato has been shown to be one of the most useful treatments for
your condition. This remedy was used in many folk medicines for a very long
time. Simply cut an average size potato in half, then place it in a cup filled
with water at night before you go to bed. In the morning, simply drink the
glass of water before you have anything else to eat or drink. You can also use
juice extracted directly from a medium sized potato and drink that as well.
#2 – Raw Juices
Leafy green
vegetables are a great way to help combat the symptoms of arthritis. Simply place a large amount in your blender or juicing
machine and liquefy it so you can drink it. The raw juice has alkaline in it
that will help dissolve and get rid of the deposits that are around your joints
causing you pain. You can also drink fresh, unsweetened pineapple juice too.
The enzymes in the pineapple juice will help to reduce the inflammation and
swelling around your joints.
#3 - Garlic
Most of us
have garlic in our homes for cooking and other purposes but it can also be used
to help reduce the inflammation in your joints. You can take it raw, get it in
capsules, or just cook with it like you normally do. The anti-inflammatory
qualities in the garlic will help offer you some relief.
#4 – Bananas
Since they
contain vitamin B6, bananas can be a great home remedy for arthritis. Eating only bananas for a few days can help offer you a
great deal of relief from your pain. If you are going to try this home remedy
it is best to consult your doctor to make sure that your body is fit enough and
your health is up to par beforehand.
#5 – Soaking And Activity
One more
thing you can do is soak your joints. If you are having issues with your knees
or ankles elevating them will help offer some relief. Don’t forget, that while
it is easy to want to stop moving to make the pain stop, not using your joints
will only make them worse in the long run. Try to stay as active as possible to
maintain your muscles and your joints.
